North Coast Packaged Homes

For people planning to build their dream home from scratch, North Coast Packaged Homes offers a unique alternative for home framing that saves clients time and money throughout the entire planning and building process.

Unlike with traditional framing built on site, North Coast Packaged Homes’ framing kits are pre-engineered and built in a factory before being shipped to the job site as panels. This offers many benefits including reduced construction time and cost, easier planning and approval and much more.

Initial Sketches

This project all started with a spark of inspiration late one night and a quick doodle in a holiday card I had on my bedside table.

With that sketch as a kind of base point, I began to do competitor research to understand how architecture and construction brands are typically represented and I had a few meetings with the company’s CEO to better understand the company and her vision of the brand.

Once I had a better idea of my general direction, I started to create some different options in Adobe Illustrator.

The 7 initial options that I presented to the client for additional discussion and guidance:

Moving forward, we decided that using the full initials of the company in the logo was not necessary or beneficial because the initials are not typically used to identify the company.

The client also expressed interest in developing the concept of the person being incorporated into the logo, as it’s a good visual representation of what the company does.

Combining elements and perfecting the lines and proportions:
